Plan Your Visit

Rising Church – a community of believers doing anything we can to love and serve our community of Leesburg.

The Basics

What Do I Wear?

Come just as you are and be comfortable. There is no real dress code. You’ll see everything from shorts, blue jeans, slacks, skirts, dresses, t-shirts, blouses, collared shirts…well, you get the idea. We’re not really a suit-and-tie expecting church but if that’s who you are and what makes you comfortable, then you will win the award for “Best Dressed,” hands down! Read more about Sundays.

Where Do I Park?

Our main parking lot is located at our address: 115 Harrison St NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. There are typically a few spaces we leave open for visitors just like you. If the lot happens to be full we are able to park in the business lot adjacent to our church campus which is accessible one block west on Edwards Ferry Rd.
Which entrance should I use?
Our main entrance is under the green awning that faces Harrison St NE. You’ll be greeted by a friendly face as you enter in through the glass entryway. You can either check your children in with our Kids Ministry Team or head upstairs and join us for worship.
What time should I arrive?

Our worship service starts at 10:10am. We recommend families with children arrive about 10 minutes ahead of time to get their kids checked-in with our Kids Ministry Team. Infants and toddlers (birth – 4-years-old) can go directly into our nursery while elementary-school-aged children will head upstairs with their family to spend a few moments worshiping together. See a map on our contact page.

What do you have for my kids?

Our Kids Ministry Team does a great job loving on and ministering to children every Sunday. Infants and toddlers are cared for through the entire worship service. Your little ones can be dropped off 10 minutes prior to the worship service beginning. Elementary-school-aged children join us for the opening time of worship so they can spend a few moments worshiping with their families. Then, they head off to Kids Ministry where they are studying through the Gospel Project; a 3-year curriculum that is a Christ-centered, chronological study through the entire Bible (Genesis-Revelation) with a missional focus that helps them live out their faith.
All of that said, we want you and your family to be comfortable and feel at ease when you worship with us. If you and your children would like to stay together then that is perfectly fine. In fact, the fourth and fifth Sundays of every month are a Family Worship Service in which all elementary-school-aged children join us for worship (we still provide nursery care for families that would like to take advantage of that).
All of our nursery and Kids Ministry workers have completed a back ground check that we process annually. Read more about kids...

Our services typically run about 1 hour and 15 minutes long, but we aren’t strict about that. Some Sundays we might wrap up our service faster than that and other Sundays we might go a few minutes longer. Our goal is to make much of Jesus during our time of worshiping together and since it is typically our one chance during the week to do that we want to give our church family the opportunity to worship together.

While our worship service is what most people would refer to as contemporary we hope that our heart for Jesus is what really comes through. Our highest priority when we gather for worship is to glorify God through our praises and to make much of Jesus. Our worship leader, Neva, is incredibly intentional at putting worship orders together that focus our hearts and minds on Jesus and tie in thematically with our sermons. The entire Worship Arts Team does a great job working together to create an atmosphere in which we are free to worship.

Preaching the Word of God is a priority here at Rising Church. Pastor Jason typically prefers expository preaching, leading us through a book of the Bible or an extended passage of Scripture over several chapters of a book. Occasionally he will change things up and take a few weeks to preach on a particular topic. Even when addressing a specific issue we are most likely going to look at it through the lens of a passage of Scripture to give us biblical context.

We would love for you to fill this card out so we can simply follow-up with you during the week and thank you for joining us for worship. You can turn your contact card in with a member of our Hospitality Team and they will give you a thank you gift for joining us that morning as well.
Every week Pastor Jason dismisses us with a benediction from Ephesians 3:20-21. Most people stay for a time of fellowship after the service as we provide donuts, coffee, water, hot tea, and hot cocoa. It has become a great time of connecting with people in our church body and a chance for us to do life with each other. You are welcome to stay for as long, or as briefly, as you would like to following the services.
