He is motivated by his love for God and desire to reach unchurched people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! – FCA Volunteer at Tuscarora High School
– Life Coach for Tuscarora High School’s Men’s Basketball Team
– NAMB Coaching Champion for Send DC

Jason is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a degree in Biblical Studies & Philosophy.

Neva Lamb

Worship Leader

Neva has been leading worship in various capacities going all the way back to her days in her youth group as part of their worship team. She is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in Music and Vocal Performance and was a member of multiple traveling worship teams her four years there. Since graduating Neva has led worship in every church she has been a member at. All of these opportunities have prepared her for being the Worship Leader at Rising Church. While Neva is a gifted vocalist and musician, you will appreciate her heart for worship and desire to worship with her as she leads us on Sunday mornings.

Our Story

We are a three-year-old church in Leesburg, VA (Loudoun County). We started meeting as a small group in August of 2014 and then weekly for worship services in July of 2015.

Our name, Rising Church, is inspired by the fact that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead – He is alive – and at the moment that we believe in Jesus Christ, we are raised to new life in Him. We believe that the local church is the means by which God has planned and purposed to reach our broken and fallen world. It is time for the church to rise up in the midst of a broken and hurting world and point them to the Hope above all hopes.

With that in mind, we are very outreach minded. We want to be a church that is known for reaching the lost in our community and many of the events we host are designed to help us achieve that mission. We are grateful to God for all that He has done in our few years of ministry here in Leesburg.

What We Believe

Baptist Faith & Message

For a more comprehensive statement of our doctrines and beliefs click the above button. Here are a few highlights of beliefs we hold in high regard:

There is one and only one living and true God. He is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. The church has been entrusted with the mission and message of the Gospel and is the primary vehicle by which God has chose to reach and redeem our lost and dying world.

The New Testament speaks also of the church as the Body of Christ which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages, believers from every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.

North American
Mission Board

The North American Mission Board has prioritized Washington, DC as 1 of their 32 Send Cities targeted for major church planting efforts. As a church in Loudoun County, Rising Church is grateful to be included in NAMB’s Send DC efforts to reach the greater DC Metro and Northern Virginia area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

SBC of Virginia

Our state convention, the SBC of Virginia, does a great job partnering with us to provide training, resourcing, encouragement, and networking. We are excited to be a part of a coalition of churches that values church planting and reaching Northern Virginia with the Good News!
